If you can convince them that you are only interested in used copiers then they may sell you a competitors trade in at a very low cost. or one of there own.
If you are a really good negotiator the dealer will sell you one of their used copiers taken in trade at a really good price... as long as they can pick up the service supply contracts. - Make sure it is a late model with low mileage and is a proven performer.
- Send in a factory authorized field engineer to do an inspection. Some remarketing companies won't allow this with end users
- If the wholesaler says yes, than call a local dealer and have them do an inspection. Tell them it is a used copiers. The cost to you is around $150.00 to $200.00. Now you will know the true condition of the equipment and what additional costs to expect to get the used copiers back on to a full service maintenance agreement. with your local dealer.
- *** The inspection report is important when you ship the equipment. If the shipper damages the equipment you have a document that proves what the condition of the used copiers was when they picked it up. It will be useful if you have to file a claim for damage
- *** The other benefit is that your local servicing dealer will require an inspection to determine the condition of the used copiers and if it requires any parts. If the dealers inspection is a lot different that the dealer who did the original inspection - go to another dealer. NOTE -Every dealer who takes on a used copiers for service will ALWAYS require an inspection. If it needs parts, you must pay to put them in first before they will put it on their service.
