FAQs

Here are some common questions we are asked and their answers.

Why would my company need to utilize DCC services?

The process for buying and managing copier and printer equipment can be complicated, stressful and expensive. In fact, Gartner Group reported recently that copier/printer costs average 1% to 3% of gross revenue. There are only two items for which companies spend a larger portion of gross revenue: facilities and personnel. DCC provides a straightforward approach that has been proven to save time and money.

Can DCC help me evaluate my current equipment?

Yes. DCC can review your current maintenance agreement and usage to determine if any changes in the maintenance agreement, now or at the next renewal, could save you money.

Does DCC interfere with the relationship that I have with my Vendor?

No. We believe it is important for you to have a business partnership with your Vendor. We work alongside you to ensure that your business interests are being addressed.

How is DCC paid?

DCC is compensated exclusively by its customers. DCC accepts no gratuity or compensation from ANY other source.

Will DCC be another business expense for my organization?

No. DCC guarantees that all services are self-funding. Historically, we have reduced our customers' costs 20% to 30%.

How do you calculate the cost per copy and why is this number important?

Your supplier calculates this number using the meter charge only which gives you an inaccurate picture of your real document production costs. DCC calculates this number using the meter charge plus capital, plus maintenance, plus supplies, to get a realistic, total cost per copy. Total cost of document production is generally four to eight times higher than the copier supplier would have you believe. This is in the supplier's interest, not yours.

"What if we are already under contract with a supplier(s)?"

Over 90% of our clients are under contractual obligations with their copier/printer supplier(s) when we work with them. Our service is a turnkey process that handles the buyout of any current contractual obligations that are in place, without any capital outlay by your organization. In fact, the buyout of these agreements is typically negligible when compared to the savings we can bring to your organization.

"Are you a copier vendor? Do you have any ties with copier vendors?"

We are independent cost consultants with no ties to copier vendors. In fact, most of the major copier vendors do not like us because we help you to get the absolute best deals for your document production needs, which skinnies up their profit margins.

"We are a large organization with a great copier deal already in place. How can you beat that?"

We consistently find savings in even the most bottom line driven companies, and all of them believed they had the best deal already. We work with these types of deals everyday, let us show you, on a no-risk basis, how we can do the same for you.
